Day 1. Arrive in Lhasa.
Tibetan guide and driver will pick you up for transfer to your hotel in Lhasa City. Relax for the rest of the day to acclimatize and alleviate the jet lag.Avoiding excessive physical activity is recommended in order to prevent altitude sickness.
Day 2. LHASA CITY TOUR.
Jokhang temple, Bakhor street and Sera monastery. First day on the high plateau ,maybe some of peopel will experince a little headache which is very common for travelers because of the high altitude, so drinking enough water and mild activity on the first few days is recommended. In the morning your guide will take an easy visit to Jokhang Temple in the centre of the Old Lhasa City with you. Jokhang temple is one of the most scared temple in all of Tibet and it is always bustling with earnest local pilgrims from early morning on. After that you have time to walk around the Bakhor street which is the one of the most devotional circuit. You may also want to viit crowded central market of Lhasa, which during the old days it was the most famous local market but now it has changed into a tourist gift shopping centre. The amazing day will end with a visit to the Sera Monastery, it was built in the fifteenth century by the Jamchen choji Sakya Yeshi who was disciple of Tsongka pa. Many different colleges in Sera are home to several hundred of monks from different parts of Tibet. The famous Buddhist philosophical debates among the monks are happening everyday in the afternoon except Sunday. Overnight in Lhasa.
DAY 3. LHASA GUIDED TOUR.
Potala palace and Drepung monastery. The world-famou Potala Palace, the cardinal landmark of Tibet and the masterpiece of Tibetan architecture, was first built by 33rd King Songtsen Gangpo in 7th century and later in 17th century rebuilt by 5th Dalai Lama. Since then it was home to the Dalai Lama and his government. Walking though the long steps are quite challenging but it is worthwhile to leave your foot steps in the spiritual palace of God of compassion which is listed as a world heritage-site in 1994. And in the afternoon, we will visit the Drepung monastery, once the world's largest monastery that housed more than 10,000 monks, as it was resident of the Dalai Lama prior to Potala Palace, but several destructions have taken place in different times but there are still a lot of things to see by walking through the large numbers of narrow and twisted lanes along side the monks apartments. Overnight in our Lhasa hotel.
DAY 4. LHASA AIRPOR/TRAIN STATION SEND OFF.
